Les Mémoires
In my life, I think I have met only two people who enjoyed watching game shows as much as I do. My wife is one, and Carol is the other. I remember vividly sitting on the couch in Bellmore (this would have been 1998) watching 1970s episodes of the Match Game and laughing out loud with Carol.
A few weekends before her birthday, Carol had come to LI. She took my sister and myself out for dinner and we spoke for hours of our lives and camp memories. Of course after dinner, I gave her our annual massage and gave her the chills.
Carol and I took a day off together from camp. She had her car and the entire ride from Canadensis to LI we BLASTED Wicked, windows down, screaming our lungs out. i still haven't seen the play but thanks to that night I still know every word to every song on the soundtrack
My first summer at camp, my bus was the last one to get in and nobody was there waiting for us. Carol was the one who saw my scared face and told me she'd take me to my bunk, and not to worry because camp is the best place in the world. We miss you at camp and it's not the same without you.
I slept next to Carol our CIT summer. I was reading a book that scared me and I could not sleep so I jumped into bed with Carol. She let me fall asleep with her and during the night went to go sleep comfortably in my bed.
